“Roy and Marty’s Academic Camp for Kids”
Dallas, TX July 12, 2009 – The Martellus Bennett Truly Blessed Foundation and The Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation have partnered with Velocity Learning to present classes beginning on Saturday, July 24, 2010. The classes will be held at the Safety Net offices at 8585 N. Stemmons Fwy. Classes featured will be SAT Prep, Math, and Verbal for High School, Middle School, and Elementary students. The two foundations have financially subsidized a portion of the cost of the classes, as well as provided the class space in order to make it more affordable for families in the DFW area.
The Truly Blessed Foundation is a non-profit community-oriented organization established in 2008 with goals to assist and serve needy families experiencing hardship and to contribute to the betterment of those communities in which it serves. TBF is comprised of individuals who understand the core premise of its mission: Invoking change is a process culminated one act of kindness at a time. TBF’s highest priority is to have an impact not only on a person’s immediate situation but his or her overall outlook on obstacles as a result of misfortune or tragedy. It is by building relationships that TBF maintains its lasting support and subsequently experience ongoing success stories.
The Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation was started in 2004 by Five Time Pro-Bowl NFL Safety Roy Williams of the Cincinnati Bengals. Inspired by his sister Alecia, a single mother doing her best to raise her young son, Mr. Williams decided that his foundation’s mission would be to help ensure that low to moderate-income single mothers receive support, guidance, and assistance in an effort to enhance the quality of life for their family.
Classes range from $49 to $249. To sign up, please visit www.velocitylearning.com, www.trulyblessedfoundation.com, or www.roywilliamssafetynet.org. For further information or questions, please contact Daylon Goff at 214-905-3816 or Dessie Brown at 214-801-7088.
