About TBF

The Truly Blessed Foundation is a non-profit community-oriented organization established in 2008 with goals to assist and serve needy families experiencing hardship and to contribute to the betterment of those communities in which it serves. TBF is comprised of individuals who understand the core premise of its mission: Invoking change is a process culminated one act of kindness at a time. TBF‘s highest priority is to have an impact not only on a person’s immediate situation but his or her overall outlook on obstacles as a result of misfortune or tragedy. It is by building relationships that TBF maintains its lasting support and subsequently experience ongoing success stories.

In September 2008, the Truly Blessed Foundation received its first opportunity as a non-profit organization when it was able to come to the aid of Hurricane Ike victims.   Hurricane Ike was a catastrophic storm that affected thousands in and around Houston limiting food and water supplies.  With the help of the community, the Foundation was able to donate essentials to hundreds of families in Martellus’s home community of Alief, TX.

Thanks to the pallets of food donated by the Foundation in September, over 1,600 individuals were provided with grocery bags or a family box that offered relief from the set back of Ike.  On October 14th, a secondary food drive provided relief for an additional 600 individuals.

The Martellus Bennett Truly Blessed Foundation staff team continues to proactively identify opportunities to provide assistance and relief through community efforts and outreach initiatives. They consist of full time support staff and experienced volunteers who work diligently with the Foundation to provide a standard of unparalleled service to families in need.  At TBF, we believe that you must give back in order to move forward.

“…It is by sharing our own blessings in life that we often experience the most joy and personal fulfillment. Every TBF team member holds this belief. We implement that philosophy in everything we do. And we won’t ever stop…” Michael Bennett, Sr., President, TBF
